
A lot of MGB owners say that if you want a Modern MGB buy a Mazda Miata/MX-5 but
what if you could take an MGB and turn it into a modern version of the British Classic MGB
making it just as reliable as a Miata/MX-5 or any modern car.
My restoration became what they call a Restomod, Restored & Modified, which is the act
of altering a motor vehicle in such a way as to increase performance, reliability, style, or
comfort exceeding the original manufacturer's design. Another way of looking at it is to
take a classic car, update functional components with modern technology while not
modifying the appearance so much that it no longer resembles the classic car you started
with.
This is exactly the approach I have taken. It does have some exterior modifications but
not so much that you cannot tell it is a Rubber Bumper MGB. I added many components of
modern technology, increased performance, and turned my British Classic MGB into an
extremely reliable daily driver with all the comforts of a modern sports car.
